Hi,

Went over to Canning to see the CATTLE EGRET around 9:30 a.m., and indeed it
was there, with 2 horses, in the spot Judy described yesterday evening. Then
Bernard Forsythe showed up, and we both had a good look. Then after a minute
or so it took off, and flew away to the NW!

Then we went over again to the railroad tracks E. of Wolfville, and once
again the area was very birdy, with Cedar Waxwings, Robins, Chickadees,
Purple Finches, and White-thr. Sparrows galore, + a M. Red-winged Blackbird
and a N.Flicker. And, the YELLOW_BREASTED CHAT seen there a few days ago
appeared right out in the open on a bush for about a minute (too far for a
photo).

On the way home, there are still 6 M. N.Pintail and a pair of Gadwall at
Canard Pond.

Richard.
