Hi there,

Given the recent postings on bats, I thought I would point
out that the next meeting of the Nova Scotian Institute of Science
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Science/NSIS/ will concern bats. I think
this was originally scheduled for the November meeting, but the
speakers were switched.

         Cheers,

         Patricia L. Chalmers
         Halifax

Monday, 1 December 2008 Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location:
Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History
1747 Summer St., Halifax

Speaker:
Hugh Broders
Department of Biology, Saint Mary's University

Title:
Bats in the belfry, bats in the woods - Life history and social
ecology of Nova Scotian bats

Please note that the Museum is a scent-free environment.
Cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted here and
announced on CBC Radio 1, 90.5 FM, as soon as possible.

For further information, please contact the NSIS President, David
Richardson, at the Institute's email address:
