Hi all
It was a very windy day in Pictou Co. Sat. Nov.1 with NW winds 40-50 Km/h so finding birds was a little tougher, but here is a little summary of what I consider a little significant.
Big I.
Blue-headed Vireo-1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet-1
Black-bellied Plover-13
Dunlin-18
Canada Geese-730
Bonaparte's Gull-250
Great Cormorant-9
Red-breasted Merganser-540
There were a few of the usual Scoters, Horned and Red-necked Grebe, Red-throated Loons and > 50 Gannets. Passerins included at least 20 Robins and 8 Cedar Waxwings.

Halibutton Gut ( Lyons Brook)
Hooded Merganser-220

Waterside PP
Common Redpoll-40
Great Blue Heron-1
Red-throated Loon-48
Red-breasted Merganser-500
Bonaparte's Gulls-250
Horned Lark-6
Sanderling-8
White-rumped Sandpiper-8
Northern Harrier-1 male
Lesser Black-backed Gull-1 adult

There were also > 100 Bonaparte's Gulls at both the Caribou light and at the Pictou Causeway spillway. There were hundres of Canada Geese at both Waterside and at Lyons Brook (Rollie MacDonald's yard)
cheers
Ken
