there were more red hnots down on on the beach
at south side we never counted, these numbers
are low what we counted, there were at least 3 to 4000
more shorebirds way down the beach about a mile from us.
where all the shorebirds came from is hard to explain.
there had to be a storm that changed there flight path because this does not happen here this time of year.

That seems to be a significant number of knots!

If the numbers are as low as 'they' say they are, what proportion of the population does this sighting represent?
