I am now quite sure that it is a male Purple Finch visiting as there are se=
veral females here as well, all spending time at both the finch feeder and =
the sunflower seed feeder. Hope they stay for a while and that they stay he=
althy.

Not sure of the ID but a pinky/rosy smallish bird with darkish grey wing-ba=
rs was visiting my black oil sunflower seed silo feeder today. Tried to get=
a picture but it flew away.=20
Set up all my feeders yesterday, black oil sunflower seed feeders, finch fe=
eders (brand new, threw out my last years feeders due to illness seen in pu=
rple finches recently) & suet cakes.=20
LOTS of activity today, robins galore, blue jays, Northern Flickers (feedin=
g on the ground mind you!), white throat sparrows, song sparrows, one Hairy=
Woodpecker=A0(haven't seen one here for a long time!) Always see Downy Woo=
dpeckers, though, black capped chickadees, starlings, pigeons. =A0And one r=
ather bed-raggled looking lone grackle, limping abit and=A0no feathers on t=
he back of its neck (thought maybe it might have had a close call with a ca=
t, perhaps) but could fly and was feeding.
