As a follow-up on my golden eagle report I noticed that the head was differ=
ent right off and it looked weird to me for a bald eagle. As Sibley's stat=
es the reason for this is that the head is relatively small in a golden eag=
le. I also saw the buffy section under the tail and the golden nape. The =
wings were splayed and I was initially thinking maybe turkey vulture. This=
signifies the broad-handed effect seen most times as noted in Sibleys. Th=
is is the first eagle that I've seen that I can definitely say yes to as a =
golden eagle. I've tried to make one into such many times=2C but always ba=
cked off of the id for one reason or another. The bird that I saw was an a=
dult.
