Just to give a different perspective on the the upcoming election here are =
my choices:=0A=A0=0AAs person who has long enjoyed the outdoors, recycles, =
farms as organically as possible and until recently on the board of directo=
rs of=A0 a Windfield company I would like to vote green. =0A=A0=0AAs a Farm=
er any=A0carbon taxes on fuel scares the living daylights out of me as cash=
flows will be adversely affected and no guarentee that I can recoupe the a=
dditional costs or qualify for the programs created to help farmers. (I do =
not need new farm equipment at this time nor does the Farmer I rent equipme=
nt from either as the capital cost is too great vs the fuel and efficiency =
savings). =0A=0AMy sitting representative falsely accused the CEO of my cur=
rent employer of insider trading when he himself sent emails regarding chan=
ges in income trusts before it was publicly announced.=0A=0AA conservative =
party whose tax policies help my middle class pocket book but also stopped =
the sale/split of my employer (which most employees saw as beneficial). The=
 conservatives=A0are also not=A0supportive of the environmental innitiative=
s that I would like to see.=0A=0AAnd the NDP=A0party whose heart is in the =
right place but I think would financially=A0tax the country into an economi=
c crash to cover all the increased spending.=0A=0AThus 5 choices and no cle=
ar answer. An independant would look really good right now (Mr Casey, pleas=
e switch ridings).=0A=0A=0ARob Woods=0AGeorgefield NS=0A=0A=0A=A0=0A----- O=

lo folks, =0A=A0=0A=A0=A0 While most of us would agree with Blake that a Ha=
rper majority would be a disaster for Canada, I would hope that most would =
vote for the party that has the best understanding of, and solutions for,=
=A0environmental issues, unless you are in a constituency where there is a =
real danger that the regressive conservatives might eke out a narrow victor=
y.=A0 This idea of exchanging votes strategically may have merit, but it de=
pends on complete trust between the persons doing the exchange and so is su=
bject to abuse, as well as to wrong guesses as to which party would have th=
e best chance of an upset.=A0 =0A=A0=0A=A0=A0=A0At the risk of sounding pol=
itical (I have not yet decided whom to vote for), I am=A0envious of the res=
idents of Central Nova, who not only have a chance to elect the leader=A0be=
st informed on environmental issues (and the only female), but to defeat Pe=
ter MacKayavelli, who is an embarrassment to Canadians still best known=A0f=
or his betrayal of the PCs by breaking the promise that he gave in writing =
to get the leadership of the party.=A0 No wonder that he couldn't understan=
d what all the fuss was about when Harper decided that the government shoul=
d disregard (or break) the Atlantic Accords.=A0 We can only hope that enoug=
h of the voters there will think carefully, instead of just voting for a fa=
vorite son of a favorite son.=0A=0A=A0=A0=A0 Think Green!=0A=0A=0AWayne Nei=

lection=0A=0AHi All;=0A=0AI care deeply for the nature of Nova Scotia, and =
the environment of the world.=A0 Consequently, it is necessary to get polit=
ical at times.=A0=A0 This is one of those times.=0A=0AI shudder at the thou=
ght of Harper achieving a majority government.=A0 The environment, our cult=
ure, and our society will suffer.=A0 But how can we make our anti-Harper vo=
tes count?=A0=A0 Fortunately, voting strategically is now much easier. Go t=
o:=0A=0Awww.voteforenvironment.com=0A=0AIt is a remarkable website that is =
tracking every riding in the country, and making up-to-the-minute suggestio=
ns on how best to fight Harper. =0A=0AAnd afterwards, I urge you to contact=
your friends, family, colleagues, and everyone on your e-mail list, and le=
t them know about this web site.=A0 If we can affect the results in some ke=
y ridings, who knows what might happen?=A0=A0 Our environment and our socie=
ty deserve our support.=A0 =0A=0ARespectfully,=0A=0ABlake Maybank=0AWhite's=
