Richard Stern, Don MacNeill and a few others were correct in perceiving my 
comment as positive. I don't use sarcasm to anyone.   My mom is always 
delighted whenever she sees a whimbrel in Big Island. So do a lot of birders 
including myself.  And, it's amazing to find a whimbrel on your own yard. 
It's very disappointing that you would make such negative comments 
(put-downs), which is helping anyone at all.  Thank you. Liz
