Index of Subjects Last Sunday my daughter Ava was sailing with the family around McNab's Island. When they pulled in on the south end for a rest, she saw what she said was the "sweetest faced shorebird " she had ever seen. She noted features to tell me: "small round dove-like head, all buffy-coloured head and breast with no streaking, longish yellow legs". I showed her the BBSA picture in the bird book, and she said "That's it!" ( She's a closet birder). Perhaps they move on and off the islands in the harbour?
