Hi, Naturens subscribers. Sorry for list posting my note to Johnny. I have had a great weekend "hobbling about" Shelburne County. On Friday I saw lots of fog in both CSI and Pubnico! Saturday it was sunny in Shelburne and there was a good movement of warblers, and a few flycatchers. An Eastern Phoebe was "catching" from the wires at the Savannah going towards South Side. On Sunday between Shelburne and Pubnico an unusually large number of Juncos along the roadside, and Grey Jays at the usual place near the fire tower. Plenty of Great Blue Herons behind the oil tanks in West Pubnico. Monday, thanks to Johnny and Sandra, Aileen Smith and I had some good looks at Red Knots, Black-bellied Plovers at Dan'l's Head, and Dowitchers and peeps at the Guzzle. I left my scope in Cumb. Co. last June, so missed a lot, I'm sure. Earlier in the day there was a Hudsonian Godwit at the Guzzle, but we couldn't find the Marbled, nor did we see the lingering Oystercatchers. Ruddy Turnstones in various plumages were here and there. At the "forest " at South Side there was a Least Flycatcher, several Song Sparrows and a *Prothonatary Warbler* which just popped up and down twice. Lots of Am. Goldfinch, Red-winged Blackbirds, B-c Chickadees, R-b Nuthatches, and Juncos at feeders throughout the county; and a great many imm. Palm Warblers near Welshtown Lake park. J.Cz.
