Ken McKenna Box 218 Stellarton NS B0K 1S0 Hi Suzanne and all I doubt very much if Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows have left NS yet. They usually hang on till October. I had one carrying food, a big green grub, this Saturday at Big I. It sure looked like it was ready to feed young. I briefy looked in 2 different locations and found this species was present. The mosquitoes in the area, however, prevent a more thorough search to get an idea on numbers. cheers Ken ----- Original Message ----- From: "Suzanne Borkowski" <suzanneborkowski@yahoo.ca> To: "naturens" <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca>; "Rare Bird Sightings NS-RBA" <ns-rba@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, September 01, 2008 3:41 PM Subject: [NatureNS] Shorebirding on Saturday - Possible Ringed Plover? > Hi; > > I took a visiting birder to look at shorebirds on Saturday morning. > Unfortunately, the tide was in so we didn't get to see the numbers I had > hoped for (and bragged about!).
