As I replaced another empty humingbird feeder this morning - I have four 'on
the go' and have been replenishing the supply of sweet water with frequent
regularity of late - I figured there must be more hummers around than the
two seen earlier pursuing each other around the kitchen window feeder. I
sat out on our front porch this afternoon with a cup of tea and settled in
to observe the comings and goings between the three hummingbird feeders
there, plenty of fuschia flowers and the bee balm... Sure enough, after a
while the activity picked up and I saw at least FIVE, lots of aggressive
attitude, and who knows if the count is actually higher!

In the past couple of days there has been a movement of migrants around our
property. I spotted Black-throated Greens and N Parulas, among small mixed
flocks (vireos as well as warblers) yesterday, and today a good-sized flock
of Blue Jays passed through, possibly also migrating ?

Cheers,
Judy Tufts

Hi, all-

We still have two hummingbirds at our feeders in Waverley. Anyone else?
