This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_qA6aRzkF45H3Kt4T5UKkyg) Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT In the past week, I've seen what seems a more than usual number of dead raccoons on highways: two plump, healthy adult raccoons on the road from Halifax to Lawrencetown, then two more today in the short stretch from Halifax to Bedford. Has anyone else observed a noticeable increase in raccoon roadkill? Or maybe I'm not enough of a highway driver to recongize those numbers as nothing unusual? And does any one know if the Dept, of Natural Resources -- or some other institution -- does counts to monitor roadkill "populations" from year to year?
