Last Fall a double culvert was installed under the Atlantic View trail, connecting this pond with Lawrencetown Lake and causing it to almost completely drain, leaving a sadly looking mess. Does anyone know why the culvert was installed, for what purpose ? Thanks, Henk Kwindt, Cow Bay, NS. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C8E73B.65FA929E Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.6000.16674" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2>Hi Henk:</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2>I think the pond and activity in = question was a salt=20 marsh restoration project by the NS Dept of Highways</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV dir=3Dltr align=3Dleft><SPAN class=3D078025811-16072008><FONT = face=3DArial=20 color=3D#0000ff size=3D2><A=20 href=3D"http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/enviroservices/enviroSaltMarsh.asp">htt= p://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/enviroservices/enviroSaltMarsh.asp</A></FONT></SPA= N></DIV> <DIV> </DIV><!-- Converted from text/rtf format --><BR> <P><SPAN lang=3Den-us><B><FONT face=3D"Brush Script MT"=20 size=3D5>Regards,<BR>Al</FONT></B><BR></SPAN><BR><SPAN = lang=3Den-us><FONT=20 face=3DArial>Al Hanson</FONT><FONT face=3DArial><BR></FONT><BR><FONT=20 face=3DArial>Habitat Research Biologist</FONT><BR><FONT = face=3DArial>Canadian=20 Wildlife Service - Environment Canada</FONT><BR></SPAN><BR><SPAN=20 lang=3Den-us><FONT face=3DArial>Mailing Address: P.O.
