I don't know about that, but I do recall years ago in Clayton Park we 
had nesting R-E Vireos that spent a lot of time screaming at and chasing 
Blue Jays. I was always impressed with their chutzpah.

The different defence reactions are interesting. Last week I disturbed 
what I'm pretty sure was a brooding Ovenbird, which crept along the 
ground with a hooding action and looking back at me to make sure I was 
following it away from the nest. Then there are our juncos, which burst 
explosively from the nest if you get too close, then just kind of hang 
around pretending there's nothing wrong and waiting for you to move off 
-- they seem very placid about the whole affair.
