This morning when we were entering the strawberry fields near Kentville for a round of picking, a small, black canine with a bushy tail and narrow snout ran aross the dirt road and into the wheat field to the side. We only saw it briefly but it gave me the impression of a fox. We inquired as to whether the owner had dogs and the answer was no. However, the neighbors probably do. My question is whether it possibly could be a "silver" fox or black fox. I did not see any white tip of the tail as suggested of a silver fox but I understand they are mostly farmed. Was it a dog?
