E-mails that show up late are often those rejected by the Chebucto Majordomo list program. Now and then I go through the tons of spam this list attracts and try to catch the legitimate posts that have been stopped by Majordomo (I don't necessarily see them all). The ones that are too big (usually because they contain images) stay in the reject pile. The others I approve for posting. Then they show up with their original timestamps. As we've stated many times before, there are certain words, phrases, and bits of computerese that we have to avoid (such as "cl*ck here," "dot p h p" URLs, "test" in the subject line). If your message doesn't show up within a few hours, have a good look at it to see if there's anything that might be offensive to our electronic gatekeeper. As usual, I'm impressed by the high standards of messages posted to this list, and by the information value. You are a justifiably enviable group of naturalists. I doubt that any other province is as well served. Doug Doug Linzey Administrator, NatureNS e-mail list
