what a great day for our annual shorebird count,
  with some great results. a very calm day ,sunny and a beatifull boat ride to searh for the shorbirds on the high tide.
   total american oystercathers was 15  outstanding.
     her is what was found and some nesting area will be left out for the birds safety.
   long island 2 adult 3 young that can fly
    dogthrumbs island 2 adult 3 young about half grown.
    dogthrumb island off the hawk 2 adult
   no young seen but could have been hiding
   daniel head 3 adult non breeders.
     15 in total  and maybe more
  on the  cape beaches and ledges  
      3 hudsonian godwit
      525 shortbill dowitcher
      1 whimbrel
and saved the best for last 2 adult semi palmated plovers
  with two very small youngsters cape area.
