Hello Suzanne and others,
Neither Antigonish nor Digby. I zoomed right in and it's Larry Bogan's back yard (near Kentville in the Annapolis Valley).
There is milkweed elsewhere in NS but this is the only "registered site" for which they have any info.
I note on the first web site you sent that this year the first monarchs were reported in NS around the end of the first week in June. This must vary somewhat from year to year. I recall several years ago seeing one in downtown Halifax in the first week of May.

P.S. If you ever have the opportunity to do so, consider visiting the Monarchs at their wintering site in Michoecan province, in the high elevation forests, west of Mexico City. It is truly an amazing experience - hard to believe your eyes when you see millions of butterflies, close-packed together on a single tree. So many that the branches bend down under the weight and occasionally break!
