(Forwarded from Chris Field)

I attended a public meeting in Halifax on Monday evening held by
Voluntary Planning about the visions for NS Biodiversity, Forests,
Parks and Minerals (details at
http://vp.gov.ns.ca/projects/resources/info). It's clear the forest
industry is making sure they're well represented at these meetings
which have been held across the province and are arguing that current
forest practises in NS don't need any change. There is the opportunity
to make written submissions to Voluntary Planning (which I will
certainly do) and I'm hoping that some of you may feel inclined to
make submissions either online at
http://vp.gov.ns.ca/projects/resources/submission or in writing to

Voluntary Planning

6th Floor, Suite 600

The deadline is July 31st.
