If you are driving by the D.U. pond, west end of New Minas, south of traffic
lights at intersection of Belcher St/Middle Dyke Rd, Kings Co., check out
the pond for the young family of Canada Geese. The pair who were hanging
around a nest-site on the small man-made island in there have blossomed into
a family of FIVE. Three little goslings, a little beyond the tiny yellow
'puff-ball' stage now (3 weeks old?) but still cute, were sticking pretty
close to their proud parents as they swam around at the far end.

Saturday May 31
I also tried for the Ruddy Duck found by Geo. Forsyth on the Port Williams
Sewage Ponds May 29 but could not find it.

Cheers,
Judy Tufts
