Hi Patrick,
Sounds a bit weird but I think it is a ruby-crowned kinglet.....the =
trill running up to the 'song' is typical but the 'song' part is too =
slow to be typical in my experience.

Subject: [NatureNS] Bird song that is on the tip of my tongue

  Hi everyone:

Despite the poor weather this morning, I did get some atlassing in =
again today. I had three species in the deep woods carrying food, =
chickadee, crow, and blue jay. I also had one bird singing and I feel I =
should know the song, but I can't recall which one it is. It was =
sininging in mature mixed forest from the top of a tall spruce. With the =
haze and lighting I could only make out that it had the shape and size =
of a warbler, but looked pale underneath and dull on top.=20

There is a call at the start and end of the clip. If it rings a bell =
with anyone I would love to know what it was.

  Pat
