Nine of us managed to see 35 species this morning. It was very cold and the
birds needed coaxing. The highlights were two pairs of blacked backed
woodpeckers in two different locations. One pair was showing courtship
behavior and the female of the other was feeding on the pathway, so we had
good looks.
