I was headed out to go lobster fishing this morning but the wind and =
rough seas turned us around. In any case we have lots of Tree swallows =
around but I have been looking at this swallow out my window sitting on =
a wire for over an hour constantly preening itself and stretching its =
wings. It looks wet and tired. I have finally determined it is a Purple =
Martin, a juvenile or female. No mistake. It is still there as I type =
this note. I have seen them stop here before but only twice in 25 years.
