I got home just after 6 pm and learnt about the sighting of the adult Yellow
headed blackbird in south end Halifax. I was shocked that Harbourview Drive
was not far from where I live and also where my mom live!! I went over to
Janice Wiscombe's place almost right away. We had to wait more than one
hour before the really handsome Yellow headed black bird appeared high in a
tree in another neighbour's yard. It was preening itself for a while and
then flew up to Janice's tree and finally flew over her house. The time was
7:18-24 pm. Janice said the blackbird appeard yesterday (Sunday) and kept
coming back to the yard a few times today. It seemed to hang around with
some grackles, mourning doves, and starlings. Many thanks to Janice and
Blake reporting the sighting.

Cheers, liz
