Did some clearing away of some of my VERY overgrown rambling rose 'tangle' today. There was one nest in amongst the brush with one egg in it. I left this alone. Don't know if it was viable or not. It is a whitish colour & somewhat spotted/speckled.
Besides one plump squirrel literally sitting in the top section of my silo bird-feeder munching away on my black oil sunflower seeds, there were also, lots of colourful birds this evening, American Goldfinches, 1 Red-winged Blackbird, our ever-present Cardinals, lots of Blue jays, a couple of male & female Downy Woodpeckers, BC Chickadees, Song, White-throat & House Sparrows AND (new for my yard) a male adult Baltimore Oriole in breeding plumage that is (at the moment) very busily chowing down on my suet cake. Maybe just passing through but a spectacular looking bird, that's for sure!! Hope it sticks around for awhile!!

Enjoy the flora & fauna, everyone!!
