Cool and wet but a reasonably good day....but I did have an unfair advantage...I was in God's country of the APBS!!! I saw/heard 62 species within the confines of the Amherst Point area. The usual number of species but bird numbers fairly low...likely due to the weather. Highlights included a turkey vulture, peregrine falcon, greater and lesser yellowlegs, a single Tennessee warbler, lots of ducks of course, soras, Am. bittern, boreal chickadees and four swallow species. Absent this year...black terns, moorhens, coots, purple martins, wood ducks and sea gull species.
