Haven't seen any yet here in the Lake Banook/Prince Albert Rd. area of Dartmouth. But know it won't be long!! I have noticed in previous years that our ever present Cardinals seem to love to dine on them. Did see an interesting aerial display right above my house around noonish today of what appeared to be two osprey, one, quite abit higher in elevation above the other & calling non-stop, and every few minutes, would flap its wings quickly in a stationary position as if it were going to dive. The other osprey, lower in the sky, just circled slowly barely flapping its wings at all. The pair certainly seemed to be keeping in each others space, or so it appeared. There is also a pair of Red-winged Blackbirds that appear to have a nest down amongst the cat-tails near the brook behind our backyard. As well, Northern Flickers are back as well as the White-throat & Song Sparrows, Chickadees, American Goldfinches, lots of Blue-jays & Grackles & Downy Woodpeckers.
