We'll meet at the parking lot at 7AM for a 4-5 hour stroll, depending on weather and birds. I'll take the group along my favourite warbler trails. You will meet Mr. Black fly, so be prepared. This small park has had at least 17 nesting warbler species, with 15 species as annual regulars. This area is also close to Blackpoll and Blackburnian Warbler territory so 19 nesters remains a possibility, although I have not found any evidence for them, except as migrants. Yesterday morning I found five warblers on territory here; Yellow-rumped, Palm, Black-and-White, Parula and Black-throated Green. This place is reliable for the endangered Canada Warbler, although this walk is a tad too early to meet this bird. Broad-winged Hawk also nests here every year.
