I have noticed that the birds on Murray's field trip (Saturday, May 3rd)
were not yet reported so I decided to report the sightings in case other
birders were wondering about that. We had a great time despite the cold
weather. Here were some birds worth noting:

CAPLE SABLE ISLAND

4 American Oystercatchers
1 Golden Plover
Red knots
Sanderlings
Black bellied plovers
Ruddy Turnstones
Dunlins
Greater Yellow legs
Indigo bunting (male) (at a feeder)
Fox sparrow
1 white crowned sparrow
palm warbler
yellow rumped warbler

We failed to find the Black crowned Night heron depite our efforts.

BACCARO POINT

1 Glaucous gull - all white
At least 4 Harlequin ducks
1 Merlin
1 Wood peewee - heard / fleeting sights
Gannets - adult

Cheers, liz
