At my feeders this morning was this black-capped chickadee with an almost completely white tail. http://www.flickr.com/photos/26123378@N03/2452922700/in/photostream/ One tailfeather is normal and several others have a little pigment near the tip. I suppose this must be a leucistic bird, the first such bird I've ever seen in person. Also present were 4 white-throated sparrows, 2 song sparrows, 3 goldfinches, 1 junco, 2 purple finches, a few evening grosbeaks, a yellow-rumped warbler, a hermit thrush and 2 winter wrens. -Kathleen __________________________________________________________________ Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people.
