Hi all
Monday April 21- I had White-throated Sparrow at my feeder and a Belted Kingfisher across the road along the river. Rick Ferguson reports Savannah and White-Throated Sparrows, and House Finch (2 male) today in Westville. Rick had Tree Swallows on Saturday. We, ( Rick, Charlie Kendell and myself), ran our 3rd Owl Survey tonight - route NS-01. We heard Swamp Sparrow in the Three Brooks area. Lovely night for the owl survey with ~ 14 Barred Owls and 5 Great Horned Owls heard. Two of the Barred Owls were seen and we felt a couple were possible repeats. Still an excellent owling night. We also heard 7 Woodcock and 3 Snipe. Wood Frogs and Spring Peepers were at most of the stops. We heard a few Coyotes at the final stop.
cheers
Ken
