Hmm. ticks, yuck.!! That reminds me I found one on me, in the night and
should go see what I did with it.
Steve was working in the woods yesterday and they will be our first of the
season.

We haven't found any mayflowers open yet right here but there were small
bouquets on the tables at the Hunts Point supper last evening, I am told.

At the feeder we have more than a couple chickadees, two male Brown headed
cowbirds, two female brown headed cowbirds, Juncos; male and female,
mourning doves, although the numbers are ever dwindling , a couple blue jays
from time to time, two different American goldfinches, one showing lots of
yellow and another with whites being the highlights. Very attractive.
The red -winged blackbird is here still, no sign of a female, though.
Sparrows are song, and white throats. Other than that the usual crows, a red
breasted nuthatch and a small hawk, male and a female Purple finch past
through very quickly. oh! Robins, many, robins. I think that is it.

Still no hummingbird at the feeder. I do not know what it is I see from time
to time buzzing the top of the maples. What else can be that small and fast?
I put out three feeders and so none have been visited by little birds other
than juncos, chickadees, finches and a blue jay and the little chipmunk had
a sip too. It seems to have sweet tooth..
Very few, if any bees, sadly, a few wasps and some flies. A bumper crop of
lady bugs both inside and out, oh and a deafening spring peepers chorus
last night. Yeah! Frogs everywhere in the wet areas. I think that is it!
What a beautiful sight it was last evening with that moon shining out over
the water...just magic!
