Here on Glenwood Avenue, I have seen my first American Goldfinch (which, though, I have usually seen them all winter in past, this year I had not see any since the New Year!). An American Robin has been seen for about a week now. My neighbour said that he has seen several Red-Winged Blackbirds in amongst the bull-rushes in the green-space at the foot of our street but I haven't seen any yet. Nor have I seen any Grackles yet. Are seeing Song Sparrows, White-throated Sparrows, BC Chickadee's, House Sparrows, & the ever-present squirrels, starlings, pigeons & crows.
And as mentioned earlier in the past week, where I had 1 visiting, today there are now 2 Fox Sparrows visiting. Since this past Wednesday, when the big winds started I did not see them at all, & figured they may have moved on but there they were today, both together on the ground scratching away just below my feeders. (I really MUST get a digital camera. I have the greatest view from my back room window to get some great shots!)
Any suggestions on a good brand of a 'user-friendly' camera for taking pictures of birds?
  Thanks,
