April 1, 2008 - Both of our ³good sparrows² were present today, i.e., the CLAY-COLOURED and immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS. Brenda and Bill Thexton saw a KILLDEER at Saxon St. Pond (Sheffield Mills). Apr. 2, 2008 - Most of our SNOW is now gone except from a few protected spots. At our feeders, a single male COMMON REDPOLL appeared today. Add the CLAY-COLOURED SPARROW. No sign of our 2-3 CARDINALS for several days, but elsewhere in Wolfville other people have been telling me about hearing CARDINALS for at least a week. Port Williams sewage ponds: 2 CANADA GEESE (pr? yearlings?), 9 COMMON GOLDENEYES (4m/5f), 2 HOODED MERGANSERS (m/f), 2 MALLARDS (m/f).
