This morning at high tide Ian McLaren and I scrutinized the accessible goose flocks between Onslow and Masstown along Route 2, north of the Salmon River and west of Truro. A flock of about 800 Canadas in Lower Onslow very close to and south of the road behind the 12600 range of houses included one adult Greenland Greater White-fronted Goose and two adult Greater Snow Geese (no doubt the birds reported first by Jeff Ogden a few days ago).
