Hi there,

	I saw my first spring migrants of the year yesterday (29th March),
with two Common Grackles in the backyard at my feeders. This is
about a week late compared to most other years; I have been looking
for them since about the 15th. In previous years I've seen the
first ones on 20 March '00, 22 March '01, 22 March '03, 11 March
'04,  2 April '05, 21 March '06, and 22 March '07.

	It was good to hear that the Varied Thrush has made it through the
winter, as well as the Brown Thrasher and some Baltimore Orioles;
does anyone know if any of the Townsend's Solitaires or Carolina
Wrens have made it?

	Cheers,

	Patricia L. Chalmers
