The orchards around the Sheffield Farm, on Saxon St, Sheffield Mills, were
very much alive this afternoon, with dozens of American Robins feeding under
the fruit trees as they moved through, their calls and bright 'cheerily
cheer up 'songs echoing through the trees. Ah...spring is coming!

Below the farm on the marsh side of the Saxon St Pond, where the water has
opened up, two pairs of Grn-w. Teal were feeding. The large pond across the
road is still almost completely frozen, while Canard Pond looks completely
frozen.

Cheers,
Judy Tufts
