Mar. 5, 2008 - Yesterday I saw 3 N. CARDINALS at our Wolfville feeders, and
both the CLAY-COLOURED and WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS were still present.

And today Pat saw 50+ BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS in and around our yard.

Recently I renewed my supply of SAFFLOWER SEEDS by having to order them from
Shur Gain in Port Williams. I thought they were attractive only to a male
CARDINAL that comes to our feeders, but now the CHICKADEES are paying them a
lot of attention, so that they get quickly depleted whenever I fill that
feeder.

Mar. 6, 2008 - In the BALD EAGLE NEST just east of Wolfville near Eye Road,
an adult BALD EAGLE was sitting deeply as if incubating. A couple of days
ago I could not see any eagle there.

The Noggins Farm Market BALD EAGLE NEST apparently had no eagle on it this
afternoon.

Also I could not locate the PARTIAL ALBINO RED-TAILED HAWK today at
Hortonville; this is the time of year when that hawk disappears for the
spring, summer, and fall.
