Today at about 12:30 p.m. we saw a lovely male Hooded Merganser in the
water next to the Sobey's store in Bedford (bottom of Hammonds Plains
Rd.). This was a first for us for this locale. There were also 3 male
Comm. Goldeneyes, and lots of Blacks and Mallards.

The Hoary Redpoll was seen the first day of the GBBC, Fri. Feb. 15th
with a flock of about 200 Common Redpolls at our house in L. Sackville.
This is the second Hoary we have identified here this winter.
