Hi Angela

In following the link and reading down to the visability map.

http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/LEmono/TLE2008Feb21/image/TLE2008Feb21-Map1.GIF

We fall in the area between P1 and P4 and it states that the eclipse will
happen in our area but it will not be visible to the naket eye.

      Key to Eclipse Visibility Map
P1 Penumbral eclipse begins (not visible to the eye)
      U1 Partial eclipse begins
      U2 Total eclipse begins
      U3 Total eclipse ends
      U4 Partial eclipse ends
P4 Penumbral eclipse ends (not visible to the eye)

This is the veason for the lack of hype/no mention of it.

Too bad I like the celestial events.

Tom K
Canso
