"Twigs and Things". This is the time of year when shrubs and trees lack such useful identifying characters as leaves, flowers and fruits, but strip all that away and you have buds and bud scars, scales and bark and sometimes leftover berries and dried leaves that give you clues to the identification of the plants. This twig walk is always fun and interesting so please come out and join Charlie Cron and others from the NS Wild Flora Society, Sunday, February 17 at 2 pm in the parking lot at the Frog Pond, Fleming park, Purcell's Cove Rd. If you have ice grippers bring them along in case the trails are icy. Following the outing we will assemble at a local Tim Horton's for something warm and good conversation!

Questions? Call Charlie Cron at 477-8272
