Going Coastal: Exploring Nova Scotia's Threatened Coastline
CBC News | Jan. 31, 2008

Our coast defines Nova Scotia. It shapes us as a province and people. It =
welcomed the first explorers from Europe. It provided food and shelter =
for our ancestors. It's highest peaks and sweeping beaches lure tourists =
from afar. And homeowners in increasing numbers have laid claim to a =
piece of it by erecting their dream home by the water.

But some people say we are loving our coastline to death. They're =
concerned development is threatening the very thing we hold so dear. The =
provincial government is also concerned and is working on a coastal =
management strategy.

This year CBC Nova Scotia investigates the issue with a series we're =
calling Going Coastal: Exploring Nova Scotia's Threatened Coastline. We =
want your help. Send us your stories and ideas about the issues you feel =
are most important. Just fill out the form below.=20
