Index of Subjects Ken McKenna Box 218 Stellarton NS B0K 1S0 902 752-7644 Hi Billy and all I have had a Crepper near my feeders on several occasions this winter, but it does not seem to be going to the suet. I have a Hoary Redpoll coming to my feeder most days. The Field Sparrow has not been seen at my feeder for several weeks now. There is a flock of 20+ Tree Sparrows that comes to my feeder before sunrise daily. Feeds for about 2-3 minutes and then disappears. I am not sure why they are so flighty. I have not been able to see the Field Sparrow with this flock. I suspect the Field Sparrow may still be around the neighbourhood somewhere as maybe the 2 Song Sparrows. I find that most sparrows seem to make it through the winter so my feeling is they are around somewhere. So far, we have not had much of a storm in my area of Pictou Co. today. Very little wind and almost no snow or rain. Sounds like your area is getting hit a little heavier. cheers Ken ----- Original Message ----- From: <bdigout@seaside.ns.ca> To: <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca> Sent: Sunday, February 10, 2008 5:36 PM Subject: [NatureNS] feeder birds > I happened to be looking out at the storm a few minutes ago and noticed > a Brown Creeper, another first for my yard, though it was more > interested in the white ash and mountain ash trunks than the suet log, > which it came very close to, but seemed unaware of.
