    The warming effect would I suspect be due to the decrease in outward 
radiating and exposed surface area. As in holding a cupped hand over a 
cold ear.

    Alternatively, I wonder how many wooly bears it would take to heat a 
3-bedroom house and how would one turn the thermostat down ?
