Adding to what Don MacNeill saw at Little Salmon pond, here are some =
birds worth mentioning

Silver Sands Beach=20

- 2 Thick billed murres
- 10 Long tailed Ducks
- 5 Red breasted mergansers

Cowbay

- 2 Long tailed Ducks
- 5 Red breasted mergansers
- adult Bald Eagle trying to catch a fish again and again but to no =
avail

Dartmouth Cove

- A few scaups, too far to identify them correctly
- 1 Surf scoter - still there!
- no Black guillemonts
- 3 red breasted mergansers

Sullivan's Pond

- no ice on the water forcing hundred of gulls to settle on the totem =
island=20
- 1 Bonaparte's Gull
- 2 Common Mergansers
- 1 Eurasian Wigeon
- 30 American Wigeons
- 3 American Coots
