Your latest photos certainly shows a Hoary. Nothing to compare it to but
I get the sense it is the size of a Common so that would make it a
&quot;exilipes&quot;. Of course neither the rump nor the undertail
coverts is shown but still.... This is the &quot;common&quot; Hoary in
these parts, in fact I have never seen &quot;Hornemanni' in NS. In my
opinion the real i.d. problem is to separate the two Common Redpoll
subspecies... flammea &amp; rostrata.<br>
