Hi All,

Despite the presence of at least 2 Sharp-shinned Hawks seen in the area lately(which may be successful given the tufts of feathers I've seen lying around the back of my backyard over the past couple of days), my feeders have been visited, pretty well every day this week by 2 (I did see 3 at one time together as my husband and my neighbour have also reported seeing 3 males together too) male Cardinals which show up approximately at the same time, either early in the morning or late afternoon, usually around 4:30 - 5PM and the illusive female Cardinal late this afternoon, 1 male Purple Finch & several females which are almost always together, 4 or so Black Capped Chickadees, a couple of White-throated Sparrows, approximately 10 House Sparrows, about 20 or so Redpolls, 1 White-breasted Nuthatch, 1 Hairy Woodpecker, a couple of Blue-jays & Crows and way too many Starlings and Pigeons & (not a bird but) 1 Squirrel.

and an occasional crow.

Roland.
