--Apple-Mail-20-748325301 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Hi everyone: On the day of the West Hants CBC, I was at the Sure-Gain in the Windsor Industrial Park as they normally have a flock of house sparrows that live in the stack of empty pallaets near the loading area. I talking to one of the workers there, ash they do throw bird seed out on the driveway for the birds. She said that about a week before, she had seen a small number of finch-sized birds that had a body that was black and white, and the head was mostly red and yellow. She mentioned it to a friend who had seen several in Gore. That person had heard something on the radio about them being a relatively new bird that was expanding its range northward. I don't think that she was pulling my leg, but I really have no idea what this bird could have been. I did ask them to call me if they returned, but so far no sign of them...
