I heard today from a neighbour that a Cougar was sighted recently in
the new housing development near the south end of Prospect Street.
Tracks led back to the remains of two recently killed deer. Whoever
found the deer also notified DNR.
In that vein he also told me about a confirmed Cougar sighting (by
DNR based on hair analysis) in the last year or so on the North Mountain
(north of Berwick).
Can anyone elaborate on either of these ?
